The findings of
Kilinochchi study on Disadvantaged communities which requested to conduct by
Hon.Dalas Alakapperuma Minister, Ministry of Youth Affairs and Skill
Development which show 95% of them are under traumatic condition, 68% of them
are unemployment and some others which continue them to become disadvantaged
group of people.
After this study
the recommendations aligned with LLRC & Precedential missing commission of
Sri Lanka’ Recommendations and MDG Goals
those are collected from various stakeholders’ district and divisional wise to
recover them in a longer term. We started the intervention activities to
fulfill the recommendations according to the priority of needs.
We have
completed many intervention programme in Ampalnagar which included in the

While implement the above intervention development activities, we
organized some more cultural exchange show through using local artist and NHRDC
staffs to perform into their village. This activities takes a small first step
towards inter-ethnic reconciliation too. In addition this programme initiatives aimed at increasing interaction, exchange, understanding and make
happiness among the community at the village level.
Most of the programme performed by the children and
youngster which all organized among the society. Karakam, Baratham, Mimicry,
drama, Kannan dance and other cultural programme performed front of huge crowd
of community. “After began peace this is the first programme organized in our
village by you, we all really enjoyed and we was able to use this opportunity
as a chance to show our culture to you, we really thank you forever” said by Secretary of Women
RDS Ambalnagar.
Mr.Wijaya Wickramaratna, Chairman of NHRDC with
Divisional Secretary Mr.N.Nageswaran unveiled the new model village. And the
cultural show started with the welcome dance at the stage which organized in
Ambalnagar Sivashakthi School hall. “In my view this programme is one of the
best tool for counselling because I could realize the happiness and involvement
of this people” said by Divisional Secretary.
